Quite interesting musical proposal of this band originally from Puerto Montt and give Tryo yesterday with an impeccable concert in the hall of the SCD. Pretty nice to hear bands sound so well how are you struggling in the difficult national environment to make themselves known. This led Monttrio guitarist and founder Fernando Varas, who was accompanied in the current formation Rodrigo Zuniga on drums and Patrick Bravo on bass and synthesizer. His style, a fusion of metal and progressive rock instrumental, original enough away from the sound repeated Dream Teather where not noted any instrument over another as a share of virtuosity evident, the three work together to give a unique style. Understand English rock in these parts of the world is complicated, mainly because although we have no barrier is idomatica little or nothing is known about the prodigious and rich production of bands and styles existing in the Iberian Peninsula. Avandaro Rock - Valle de Bravo 1972 (Mexico)
sounds very paradoxical that the most overvalued today as it was Avandaro what I mean in its time. This was intended as a major event of Mexican rock, the truth is that it brings together the biggest of the season and ended up being the symbol of the end of an era prodigious Mexican rock, rock that is raw and powerful to those lands since the late sixties. Not the least of those who were already reaching to be another big moment as Peace & Love, Love Army or the North Division. The excitement and expectation that was created was so great that the alleged risk Autoride alerted and stopped the show of "wheels" that would accompany the event. Finally, during the presentation of Peace & Love the enthusiasm was so overwhelming that not only short radio transmission of the event, but the government in turn blame the rock so that was almost banned in Mexico for several years. What happened then does not compare to the "Generation Avandaro." This compilation of 1972 is not just the presentation of the bands that appear in the Festival here Avandaro 1971, is a compilation which includes The Love Army, Facade of Stone, The Master and Free Soul Mind, four exponents of the most prodigious era of Mexican rock was diluted with Avandaro.

By now it is a process of our music. Yet there has been contrived to be in the Chilean rock scene since the sixties and not traded or his style or his way of being. Many of his songs are classics of our music, which although sometimes tend to approach the new song, there is no doubt that the vein rock has always been present in his music, as well as the urban sounds. On the presentation at the "Rock Carnaza" 2009 at the Teatro Municipal de Valparaiso, Gatti was presented with drafts issues, but also with an as yet unreleased track is "Balada para Nelson Bahamonde." A presentation that contains everything, even a blunder in "Botero." Juan Fernando Echavarria and Betty Vargas are both former members of Genesis of Colombia, the Colombian fusion band tremendous ecabezada by Humberto Monroy. After leaving Genesis in 1976, this pair of musicians, multi instrumentalist began a journey across Latin America, collecting sounds and tools the most varied species. Passed through Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Argentina, where they got experience and sounds that are mixed on this album, recorded in Ecuador and Bolivia edited. The sound of this duo is actually folk, but with a progressive touch interesting, very close to the style of Genesis, Wara and pollen. The vocals are reminiscent of Genesis and of course, if several issues of this band were interpreted by Echavarria and Betty Vargas. As has been a strange situation, most of the members of Genesis have died, Juan Fernando died in 2002 and Betty in 2008. This gem was taken from the blog The Inmigrates.

Pichanga This is a masterful work of Congress and anti-poet Nicanor Parra, based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. If anything has characterized the career of Eduardo Yañez is his constant low profile, perhaps too, despite Coming from a family of leading Chilean songwriters. His style travadoresco and simple with very good lyrics, accompanied only by his guitar. Stand out tracks like "Time Prolific" and "Listen you, John Lennon" both frequently cast in the few stations that have given rise to the New Song in the eighties. Several Latin American countries commemorated the year 2010 200 years of "Independence", to be clear 200 years since the beginning of the process would lead us to independence as a English colony several years later. In Buenos Aires acts of commemoration were spectacular, the city festival in front of the Obelisk hard all day and marched around the stage destacadisimos Argentine musicians, with the most varied styles and where the rock looms large. During the day closest to the folk musicians opened the day with a Gustavo Santaolalla Rainbow interpreting issues and other bands was accompanied by other musicians. The inevitable Leon Gieco with his new band reviewed their issues with their new sound heavier. And later appeared Lito Nebbia that would open a way for the Argentine rock classics, followed by Emilio del Guercio, Vox Dei, Ricardo Soule and others. Leon Gieco then return, this time with the World grouping Alas, an institution that welcomes people with different physical disabilities who participated in Leon. Noteworthy was the participation of Victor Heredia, Los Jaivas and Pablo Milanes. Occasionally Farandulera the organizers of this event is wrong and bring real quality performers or invite Chilean exponents. Following the gems rescued from these magical nights in the late and legendary Cafe del Cerro del Barrio Bellavista Santiago, our Greek friend Val sent us Eduardo Peralta this concert recorded in 1989. Cafe del Cerro already was in its last days, there would be more than a year and close its doors to give way to spaces other than, perhaps more in keeping with the times, but no better. It is the twilight of a beautiful and intimate moments where folk clubs or other places like this and many more have given rise to musicians that the official media dictatorship and fought in vain to dispel. These singers are part of the soundtrack from that era and today is very comforting, after decades back to listen in essence representing the live gigs with only a guitar and in this case an acoustic bass played by the great Jorge Campos. The Topics covered by Brassens, a series of poems adapted Brassens and music by Eduardo Peralta, in what would be their last appearances also more prominent, because his career was diluted for years, recently reappearing but is sufficient for most intimos.El circuits sound SPECTACULAR.

Pay close attention to the Chilean composer and keyboardist, born in Iquique and has made his career mainly in the north of our country. His style goes through the electroacoustic, electronica and new age, of course that this album of 2008 is conceptual rather interesting with progressive touches. His style walks slightly between Vangelis, Oilfield and some Latin American fusion. It has several independent productions and has been incorporating voices of local singers and some new authentic instruments in their compositions. Today his discography have at our disposal to disseminate the interesting work of this Chilean musician. I recommend this album, a work for a literary, fully instrumental with issues of good bill. Manuel Garcia is today one of the most important and influential songwriters of our environment. This guitarist and composer born in Arica big band founded the Popular Mechanics, where it mixes with the rock ballad, and sound so spectacular that albums of this band were a success despite being quite peripheral commercially. His solo career is no less, his album Panic is now a cult plate, where acoustic and troubadour streak comes to the best point. It is from these musicians at the periphery of fame that does not need the conventional media have the overwhelming success it is today. The Carnaza Rock festival 2009 is the third version of this initiative acoustic rock, with acoustic guitar and that year met tremendous exponents even come from Canada and Argentina. Here is the live performance by Manuel Garcia at the warrior festival held at the Municipal Theatre Valpraiso, inicitiva with free admission supported by the National Council for Arts and Culture that I hope is not lost. This monstrosity of a Chilean Progressive grupazo The truth is that in live and studio sound very similar. If you ever imagined playing a cueca Zappa pass through here. Valparaiso has always been a cradle of progressive bands amazing and these guys are no exception. We had released another live recording in the program Live Radio MUSICAM Valentin Letelier, as this is another recording of another live gig of the year 2005. Apparently still active, the 2009 recorded Passion, Panico, Madness and Death an album that I wanted to officially tired today and not find (like I have a copy) and despite the change of some members, the essence the band is the same. This recording is higher than previously published and is a gem.

This is the type of publication that most I like to do, because in one way or another gathers all the elements that inspired the creation of this blog. This recording is made of the console and the sound is great, considering the years that the original cassette has. Another element is that it reflects an environment that was created in the already legendary Cafe del Cerro, interaction and closeness between the musicians and the audience mingled with the complicity of it was a subversive act by the mere fact of being there. I was lucky enough to attend very many concerts at the Cafe del Cerro, lived a few blocks from there and is very likely to have been present in this, Gatti I never lost it. It is very interesting in this recording the interaction with people and the dialogues of Gatti, a retro character rather not talk much. Something remarkable is the explanation of the topic Sambaye truly did not know that was an issue dedicated to Victor Jara and reflects the relationship you had with the Blops Victor.
